The gallery is supportive of local artists, some of the work in the gallery comes from the more than 20 artists who maintain studios in the Livestock Exchange Building. While art of all genres and styles makes for an interestingly eclectic mix, plein air paintings, or paintings done entirely in the outdoors, takes special prominence. So along with local artists you will be sure to find a local Kansas City scene you can connect with.

The Vanessa Lacy Gallery also specializes in creating and installing large corporate art collections for offices of all sizes. Past collectors include KU Med, Cerner, DSWA, and City Hall.
